Times Online aims to attract new subscribers to their enhanced Crossword Club, redeveloped by Taglab
London – 01 May 2009
Times Online, the website of The Times and The Sunday Times, is a renowned provider of crosswords. Times Online launches their Crossword Club with a new look and new functionality. The new look and feel of the club ties into the new Times Online identity, which launched with enormous success 18 months ago.
The redeveloped Crossword Club boasts an enhanced subscriber interface with a new AJAX crossword application, which eliminates the need for the Applet plug-in. Taglab developed a bespoke admin interface in Java using Spring and Hibernate to streamline the process in which Times administrators publish crosswords. The web application also provides exclusive archive content to the club’s subscribers; automating integration with third parties as well as integrating with the Times Online single sign-on solution.
Taglab’s managing director, Graham Bower, comments, “"as one of the world's most famous and popular crosswords, the Times Online Crossword Club has a large, loyal and passionate user base. We're thrilled to have this opportunity to take their online experience to the next level."
