Five reveals digital agency roster

May 29, 2008

Five has shortlisted a number of digital agencies to work with it on the re-development of its online business over the next twelve months, it was announced today (THURS).

Last year Five engaged Made By Many as its strategic agency. As the focus now moves to implementation, with a large volume of projects in the next few months, Made by Many have assisted Five in selecting an agency roster.
Agency.com (which has previously worked on the development of Demand Five, the channel's VoD service), Taglab and Lida have been selected as creative partners. Thoughtworks, iBuildings and New Bamboo have been selected as development partners. RedBee and Not Only But Also have been selected as full service agencies.

Chris Kerwin, Digital Controller at Five.tv says, said: “Five has really exciting plans for the re-development of its online business. We have been through a thorough process to arrive at this roster of agencies, which will remain in place for the next twelve months.

“We have a range of projects in development and plan to award work to all agencies on our shortlist over the coming months."

February 28, 2008

Diva TV commissions Taglab to develop rich media campaign for launch

Diva TV, the lifestyle and entertainment channel for women owned by NBC Universal, soft-launched in October 2007. Diva TV now plans a major online push to promote the new channel in March. Developed by full service digital agency Taglab, the campaign features a variety of rich media executions running on sites including Yahoo!, MSN, Lycos and Virgin.

Focusing on Diva TV’s unique positioning as a channel that moves as fast as a woman’s life, the campaign features “mash-ups,” combining a diverse selection of faces to reinforce the channels carefully selected programming. Diva TV’s marketing manager, Katharine Tipper explains, “the campaign beautifully illustrates how our mix of programming is designed to follow the rhythm of our audience’s day. So for example, we have exercise in the morning, chat shows over lunch, programmes to watch with the family in the early evenings, and movies later.”

Taglab’s managing director, Graham Bower, comments “we’re thrilled to be working with Diva TV on their launch. The channel is not afraid to show some attitude, and has a great sense of humour. It’s a wonderful brand to work on, with enormous creative potential.”

The online campaign features a microsite that integrates with a radio promotion on Heart’s Breakfast Show with Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott, and a series of advertorials in OK! Magazine.

Betfair offers online sweepstake platform

April 12, 2007

From: New Media Age

Online betting exchange Betfair has created a service for office workers to take their Grand National sweepstakes online.

Betfairsweepstake.com provides users with a platform to set up and manage their workplace sweepstakes, before taking a print-out of entrants and runners.

Betfair retention and CRM director Peter Janes said the site marked a move to open the service to a new audience. "Historically, newspapers have owned the marketplace for office sweepstakes. Now we're bringing them bang up to date with our online tool, and you don't even need to be in the office to join in," he said.

The platform was created by full service digital agency Taglab, and is the latest in a series of design-and-build projects for Betfair.
