Press Coverage - Schroders heads online to tempt public
October 05, 2006
From: Precision Marketing
Global asset management company Schroders is switching to responsive Web campaigns to attract consumers to its fund management products.
This week sees the launch of a campaign to promote its Income Maximiser fund. Using a humorous Wild West theme, it reflects the fund’s target yield of 7 per cent with a ‘magnificent 7%’ strapline, featuring flash animation showing a group of cowboys galloping towards a cactus in the shape of a seven.
The campaign will appear on websites including IFA Online, Morningstar.co.uk, Trustnet, CityWire, Reuters and Money Marketing Online. It was designed by Web agency Taglab.
“We are keeping up with the market,” explains a Schroders spokeswoman. “We can supply people with information about our products quickly and easily over the Internet, so they don’t have to wait for us to post them documents.”
A response mechanism on the ads will allow Schroders to collect prospect details and follow up response.

WACL member Francesca Ecsery, who is managing director of STA Travel's international division, says: "Taglab built our first website in 2001 and it has been hugely popular, especially with WACL members, for whom it has proved to be an invaluable means of keeping in touch between events. The new site is easier to use with a clean modern design."
Last month, WACL launched a search for the industry's next high-powered females. The WACL Future Leaders Fund was created, with the support of Nabs, to subsidise women studying for advanced professional qualifications or other career-related training.
