A quick and easy means of setting up polls and customer satisfaction questionnaires
It's hard to underestimate the value that an online poll can add to a web page. Whilst the internet provides an exciting opportunity for two-way communication, most web pages only deliver one-way communication. They presented information, but offer no means for the reader to submit feedback.
One system - endless possibilities
A "Quick Vote" such as those offered on the BBC News website adds simple interactivity, immediacy and a sense of community to a site, whilst providing a valuable means of sampling the interests, attitudes and mood of site visitors.
From a website owner's perspective, online polls are an extremely versatile tool. They can be used to:
- Enhance the user experience by providing content-related feedback opportunities
- Get page-by-page qualitative feedback on a website
- Sample reaction to new product development ideas
- Generate PR and cross-media activity
- Research visitor interests and requirements in order to guide future web development
Manage polls throughout your site from one easy-to-use interface
With Taglab Voter 2, adding online polls to a website could not be easier. Site administrators need only log into Taglab Voter 2, where polls can be added, amended and removed in real-time from any page of a site using a simple point & click interface. So polls can be added at a moment’s notice - perhaps in response to newly added content or even world events.
Taglab Voter 2 manages polls automatically, so an administrator can select a page from their site, a "valid from" and "valid to" time and date to a poll, and Taglab Voter 2 will ensure that the poll is presented on the correct page of the site, for the correct duration. It will then automatically be removed from the site. An archive of poll results is always available to a site administrator, by logging in to Taglab Voter 2, and the latest results can be presented to site visitors in real-time.
Voter 2 provides qualitative data, to compliment traditional quantitative web stats
Most website owners will be familiar with the kind of quantitative stats that are available from web log analyser packages, such as WebTrends. This type of information answers "what?" questions, such as "what was the most visited page?" However, it cannot begin to answer "why?" questions, such as "why was that the most visited page?" Using Taglab Voter 2 to solicit qualitative feedback such as "how useful was this page?" provides a simple, unobtrusive and cost effective means of beginning to answer the "why?" questions, by providing you with an insight into what visitors actually think about they pages they are visiting.
